“My drawings evolved from an external ornamental expression of the 1970’s and 1980’s
To a deeper reality in the 1990s attuned to the rhythm of the line.
They became simpler and simpler concentrating on movement and the vibration of the line.
My drawings at London’s SLADE explored this intent.
Our Live models for the Figurative Drawing classes were mostly the young students of the
Royal Academy of Dance.”

“When you understand the art of drawing the human body you begin to perceive the complex rhythm
of lines and curves created by the Master Mind. The human body is a synthesis of the universe.”

ARABIA
“In the late 60’s and early 70’s Arabia offered me the unique opportunity to sketch and record the rapidly diminishing Bedouin tribes. As photography was strictly prohibited my many trips to the Bedouin camps in the wide open Arabian deserts enabled me to sketch these drawings.” © Shereen Miller
