Shereen Miller’s vertically elongated anamorphic drawings were the first of its kind in the history of Fine Art. There was however evidence of horizontally elongated anamorphic drawings that was originated by Leonardo da Vinci during the 15th. century in his experimentation of optical perspectives.
Da Vinci’s horizontally stretched anamorphic of a child’s face is on historic record as the oldest example of anamorphic art preserved in the Biblioteca Ambrosiana Museum in Milan, Italy.

The anamorphic journey can be traced to 300 BC Alexandria seaport of ancient Egypt when Greek mathematician and scholar Euclid formulated various mathematical perspectives and three dimension techniques for art and architecture.
